At Atoms and Adam, we believe that the best way to bridge the gap between faith and science is through thoughtful, well-researched dialogue. We invite Christians—parents, teachers, students, and scholars—to submit articles that explore these intersections with integrity and grace.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking articles that:
- Affirm Core Christian Beliefs: We uphold the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, and the centrality of Christ. We welcome diverse views on the interpretation of Genesis 1-2, including Theistic Evolution, Day-Age, and other frameworks, provided they are held with respect for the biblical text and scientific evidence.
- Respect both Scripture and Science: We view Genesis as a theological foundation rather than a scientific textbook, and we embrace the evidence of deep time, evolution, and the fossil record as part of God’s creation.
- Are Accessible: Whether written for Early Childhood, Foundations, Youth, or Adult & Academic audiences, the tone should be gentle, clear, and free of confrontational apologetics.
- Value Honest Inquiry: We encourage exploring complex questions with humility, acknowledging where understanding is still developing while remaining grounded in truth.
Submission Guidelines
- Format: Please submit your article in Markdown, Word (.doc/.docx), or as a Google Docs link.
- Length: There is no strict limit, but articles between 1,500 and 3,000 words are ideal for our readers.
- Tone: Avoid attacking opposing views (e.g., Young Earth Creationism) directly. Instead, focus on building a positive case for your perspective.
- Featured Image: Please include a high-quality cover/featured photo with your submission.
- Attribution Required: If you provide the image, you must include the source/attribution (e.g., photographer name, license type, or URL).
- No Image Provided? If you do not include an image, we will select an appropriate, royalty-free image that fits your article’s theme.
Citations & Sourcing (Required)
To maintain the integrity of our content and protect against copyright infringement or misinformation, all submissions must include proper sourcing.
- Scientific Claims: Any scientific data, statistics, or research findings must be cited with a link to the original peer-reviewed study, reputable institution, or authoritative source.
- Quotes & Paraphrasing: All direct quotes and significant paraphrases from other authors, theologians, or scientists must be attributed. Use footnotes, endnotes, or inline hyperlinks.
- Copyright: Do not copy-paste text from other websites or publications. All content must be original or properly licensed for reuse.
- References Section: Please include a “Sources” or “Further Reading” section at the end of your article listing all references used.
Submissions lacking adequate citations, unverified claims, or missing image attributions may be returned for revision or declined.
Author Attribution
You have full control over how you are credited:
- Direct Authorship: You will receive an author profile on our website, and can include the below:
- Required:
- Author description (2-4 sentences, appears below every article)
- Headshot/photo (appears beside your name anywhere on the site)
- Optional:
- Featured Image (appears on your author profile; essentially a cover photo)
- Email Address (if you wish for readers to be able to contact you directly)
- Website (a website or link to your profile somewhere)
